View a Group of Customers On the Map
This topic explains how to view a group of customers in the large map window.
Common Uses
The large map can show customer addresses, route stops, container placement addresses, and more. Uses might include:
- Adding customers in the same area to a new route;
- Scanning the map to spot accounts that were mapped to the wrong place;
- Looking at all the customers who have a bill code meant for a specific part of your service area;
- Searching for active residential customers who are not on a route;
Before You Begin
You must use TeleRoute to view customers on a map.
View Customers On the Map
- Click.
- Click the dropdown menu to Search for a single customer or multiple customers.
- For multiple customers, use the data filters to choose which customers you want to see and click OK. A list of all data filters is provided below. For a single customer enter their name.
- Click to view the map.

The options here choose which customers should be included.
- Account Type: Chooses whether to include residential, commercial, contract, or all customers.
- Sales Tax District: Chooses whether to include customers from a specific sales tax district or from all districts.
- Source Co.: Chooses whether to include customers from a specific source company or from all companies.
- Surcharge: Chooses whether to include customers with a specific surcharge, customers with no surcharge, or all customers.
- Account Status: Chooses whether to include active customers, ended customers, suspended customers, or all customers.
- Billing Group: Chooses whether to include customers in a specific billing group or in all billing groups.
- Geographic Region: Chooses whether to include customers in a specific geographic region, all geographic regions, or no geographic region.
- Business: Chooses whether to include customers of one of your businesses or customers of all your businesses.
- Bill Codes: Chooses whether to include customers assigned a specific bill code, all bill codes, or no bill codes.
- Routing: Chooses whether to include only customers who are already on a route, only customers who aren't on any routes, or all customers.
- Address Search: Fill the field(s) here to include only customers on a given street or in a given city, state, or ZIP code.
When You're Done
All customers who meet the criteria you chose appear on the map. If the large map window was already open it retains whichever customers, routes, etc. were already being shown. Trash Flow uses different colors to distinguish between different sets of customers, routes, etc.
