Understanding Unified BillComm (UBC)

Unified BillComm (UBC) lets you send customers email bills and messages. Even if you don't use our Trash Billing service to process payments you can allow customers to see their account information on TrashBilling.com.

Send Bills

Whenever you print bills, from a customer account or the Print/Email Bills/Cards on the Billing menu, you'll see the options to send an Email Statement, Email Invoice, or Email Statement/Invoice combo instead of printing a paper bill. All three bill formats include the same information in the same order as their print counterparts. If you need to confirm whether an email was correctly sent, confirm the number of emails sent on a given day, or have other questions please call us at 800-708-8642.

When a customer goes to Trashbilling.com and logs in with their Web Account# the website will ask them to enter the password they chose. (If it's the first time they are logging in the customer is instead prompted to create a password.) Your company information appears at the top right-hand part of the page. Most companies also choose to display account info on the web so the customer sees a box with their name, address, account number, current balance, and date of last payment. If you have chosen to display account activity on the web, customers will also be able to click View Account History to view their financial history for the last four months. Below is an example of what a customer sees at TrashBilling.com.

Depending on what options you’ve chosen for your company customers may view their account history, update their email address, or choose to receive bills via email instead of getting printed bills. Finally, customers can send you a message that saves to their Trash Flow account. The Messages button on the tilebar displays how many new messages you have. Buttons to Make Payment and Sign Up for Auto-Pay only appear only if you are using Trash Billing in addition to UBC. A sample email bill appears below.
