Creating and Using Profiles in TipTicket
Description
Profiles are a way within TipTicket to save bill codes, rates, and origins/destinations for different customers.
Before you begin
Any version of Trash Flow that includes TipTIcket can use profiles. It will be easier to enter bill codes entered first before trying to create profiles. If your rates vary a lot by customer it's wise to set up the bill codes with a 0 rate so they can then be tailored to individual customers.
Context
If you negotiate different rates with customers profiles are a useful way to set up those rates in advance. This way your scale operators don't need to know and enter the rates on their own.
Steps to follow
- In TipTicket enter a customer's vehicle in the ID Number field. (If none exists yet just create a new entry like "Bob's Roofing default.")
- In the Charges section of the window enter any bill codes you think the customer might use (codes for unsorted C&D, concrete, and solid waste are some common examples.)
- If loads from this customer are usually coming from a particular Origin fill in the Origin/Destination field as well.
- Click , enter a profile name (such as the customer's name), and click .
When you're done
Any time an operator pulls up a truck for a customer they can click the Profile dropdown and choose from any profiles saved for that customer, plus any system-wide profiles (more on those in the paragraph below). If the truck has ever used a profile before TipTicket will automatically load it. Previously TipTicket would always load whatever bill codes and rates were used on the last ticket for that particular truck. Profiles, added in January 2024, allow an operator to pick from codes and rates saved for that customer without needing to know those rates.
Once a profile is saved you can click the three dots menu to save it as a "System Profile." System profiles are meant as a way to save the most common rates so an operator can use it to assign rates for new vehicles that come to the facility. When choosing a profile for a truck you can always pick from any profiles created for that customer or from any system profiles.
