Claim and Process Notifications

This topic explains how to claim, act on, and complete notifications.

Context

Trash Flow sends notifications about customer payments, events along a route, unexpected outages, customer inquiries, etc. as they come in. These notifications appear in their own window and remain there until completed. Some notifications may simply need to be completed and cleared from the list; others may require messaging a customer, instructing your driver, or calling Trash Flow about a payment issue.

Process the Notifications

  1. From the Notifications window, select a notification and click Claim.
  2. Select a notification you wish to deal with.
  3. Using the buttons in the notification, take action if necessary: restart a customer's service, inform a driver to empty a container, answer an inquiry, etc.
  4. Click Complete.

When You're Done

You don't have to immediately deal with a notification after claiming it. Once claimed, the notification appears in the right side of the window under My Due Tasks. Other users will still see the item under New Notifications, but the background color lightens to show that the notification was already claimed.

Complete Notifications in Bulk

  1. From the open Notifications window, click the hamburger menu in the top left corner and select Bulk Complete. The Bulk Complete window opens.

  2. Use the Start Date and End Date fields to select the date range for notifications you'd like to complete.

  3. Use the checkboxes to select notifications from the following categories: Systems, General, TeleRoute Exception, Trash Billing, and/or Messages.

  4. Click OK. The Bulk Complete window prompts you to review your selected notifications for completion.

  5. Click Yes to complete notifications after review. Your selected notifications are now complete.
