Printing a Billing Code Report
Description
This report lists all the bill codes in the system and shows which accounts use them.
Before You Begin
Any billing module of Trash Flow allows this report.
Context
Trash Flow allows users to create bill codes that can be used to charge customers. Codes help standardize descriptions, allow for a mix of taxable and nontaxable charges, and save time when setting up accounts. It can happen that over time old codes become unnecessary, codes get created by mistake, users forget to change a customers rate, etc. The billing code report shows, at minimum, each code and description; the rate (if a uniform rate was assigned); whether the code is taxable; whether it's a flat-rate, variable rate (per ton, day, etc.), or percentage; and whether it's subject to prorating, exempt from surcharges, and defined as a business cost rather than a customer charge. You can choose to include ended customers and/or exclude inactive placements to further refine the list. The report can also include:
- Usage counts (how many customers have the code set up on their account);
- Customer details (a limited list of customers with the code on their Rates tab—the Max detail records field sets how many examples to include);
- Inactive codes (codes that were set to be inactive and unavailable); and
- Materials breakdown (for TipTicket users, this shows which bill codes are associated with each material).
