Setting Finance Charge Options
- Set Date Limit: If this option is checked then you will see another field when assessing finance charges: Ignore Charges before [date].This is normally used in states where you are prohibited by law from adding late fees onto older charges.
- Payment Date Options: If this option is checked then you will see two more fields when assessing finance charges. The first, Ignore Payments after [date], means that even if the customer has paid their bill Trash Flow will still charge the late fee if the payment was received after the due date. The second, No chg if any pmt after [date], means that even if the customer hasn't paid their entire bill you will not charge a late fee since they are making a good faith effort to pay. There are no circumstances where you should use both of these options at the same time.
