Viewing Trash Flow Logs

System > Maintenance > Logs

Trash Flow automatically logs certain items.

  • Process Log: The process log lists tasks that Trash Flow does for groups of customers such as assessing regular charges and printing bills. It also records a few errors and lists maintenance tasks such as creating or restoring a backup, removing an assessment, and rebuilding system lists. Some processes will have a process number anywhere from five to nine digits long. Any process with such a number can be undone through the maintenance menu, but please call Trash Flow at the number below if you have any questions at all about how (or whether) to undo an assessment.
  • TF Error Log: If Trash Flow encounters an error, the program will attempt to save a record of the problem in the error log. If you receive an error that causes Trash Flow to crash, please call our technical support team at the number below. They may ask you to pull up this error log to help solve the problem.
  • Send Error Log to TF: This command sends a copy of the current error log to our offices at Trash Flow.
  • Trash Billing log: This log tracks whenever you send Trash Billing info to the web or create an autopay batch along with which computer the job was done from. (If you use Trash Flow’s Access Control it also includes the initials of the user who sent the info.) While this is uncommon, the log also notes any problems or delays writing payments, email changes, etc. to an account. Even if something goes wrong when you pick up web payments the problem can almost always be solved by simply waiting a few minutes and trying again.
  • DataDaemon Error Log: This rarely needs to be used, but it tracks problems with sending messages or bulk emails.
