Viewing Trucks on a Map
Description
While your drivers are logged in to TeleRoute you'll be able to view them on a map of the area. You can also view where they have been in the past.
Before You Begin
You must have at least one active TeleRoute license and either the Routing and/or Commercial Billing modules of Trash Flow. To get accurate information in real time the driver's mobile device also needs an active network connection.
Context
One big benefit of TeleRoute is knowing exactly where your drivers are throughout the day. The mobile device's position is calculated using a combination of cell tower telemetry, the inertial navigation built in to the tablet, and any WiFi network where the tablet is currently logged in.
Steps to follow
- Click .
- Any trucks with an active data connection will show their current position; mousing over an icon will let you know which truck is at that location. If a tablet has lost its network connection then Trash Flow will shown its last known location as long as it was within the past hour.
- To instead view where a truck has been rather than its current position, click .
- Use the next menu to choose a truck or driver, date, and times (if desired).
