If you have only one computer running Trash Flow:
Click . Once the update file is downloaded from our website, an installer will appear; click , let the installer complete, and restart Trash Flow. If you see a message that your data has been updated from a previous version, click . After updating
If you have several computers running Trash Flow on a network:
The first user to update should click . Once the update file is downloaded from our website, an installer will appear; click , let the installer complete, and restart Trash Flow. If you see a message that your data has been updated from a previous version, click ; Trash Flow should now be updated to the latest version. When other users try to open Trash Flow, they will see a message that their data is from a more recent version of the program. They should click , then click on the installer that appears; this will update their Trash Flow program files to the most recent version of the program. Users do not need to exit Trash Flow when other users need to update.
If you have an Internet connection, but Trash Flow reports an error when trying to update from the Web:
You can always find the most recent version of Trash Flow by going to this page on our website: https://www.trashflow.com/download_update.php. Fill in your database number and click the button at the bottom of the page. On the next page, click ; if your browser asks whether you want to Run the file or Save it, click . It doesn’t matter in which directory the file is saved as long as you know where to find it. The file will be named TFUPDATE; once it has been downloaded, locate the file on your computer and double-click to start the installer.

Trash Flow should want to install in C:\Program Files(x86)\TrashFlow 3; click . On the next screen the installer will try to find the working directory; this will usually be detected automatically. If you have no Internet connection on your Trash Flow computer, but do have an Internet connection elsewhere:
If you have an Internet connection and a flash drive (also called a thumb drive or portable drive), you can save the Trash Flow update file to the flash drive, bring the flash drive to your work computer, copy the update to the Trash Flow directory, and run the update file from there. You can always find the most recent version of Trash Flow by going to this page on our website: https://www.trashflow.com/download_update.php. Fill in the red fields and click the Download button at the bottom of the page. On the next page, click and save the file to your flash drive. At your convenience, bring the flash drive to the computer that needs updating, view the files on the drive, and double-click the TFUPDATE file to start the update.
