Send and Receive TeleRoute Messages in the Office

Description

This topic explains how drivers using TeleRoute and office workers using Trash Flow can send each other messages to communicate while the routes are being run.

Before You Begin

A driver must already be logged in to TeleRoute to receive a message; you cannot send a message in the afternoon to show up for a driver the next morning..

Send a Message to the Driver

  1. Click TeleRoute > Driver Messages.
  2. Choose the recipient. You can do this by selecting the Driver, Truck, or Route.
  3. Type what you want to say in the Message field. A message can be up to 255 characters.
  4. Click Send.

Receive a Message From the Driver

  1. The TeleRoute button in Trash Flow will let you know when you have unread messages. If you have two unread messages, for example, the tilebar would read Messages: 2.
  2. Click TeleRoute > Driver Messages.
  3. You can now read the messages. The newest items are at the top; any unread messages are in boldface.

When You're Done

The driver should receive your message within four minutes. If their tablet doesn't have a network connection TeleRoute keeps trying again every 60 seconds.
