Create a Physical Address Errors Report
This topic explains how to run a report of addresses in Trash Flow that could not be found on a map.
Before You Begin
You must have the address verification service to run this report. It's also a good idea to wait until Trash Flow has attempted to geocode all the addresses in the system.
Context
When a Trash Flow technician first puts in the license for AVS the program will go through every physical address and container placement in the system. Trash Flow checks our existing records, Google Maps, and Open Street Maps to locate each customer on a map. This report lists addresses where this geocoding didn't work.
Create the Report
- Click .
- Choose whether to Include ended (customers who have an end date) and Include incomplete (customers where there is not a full address).
- Click to generate the report.
Sample Report
The report shows the account number, name, and any address information for addresses that were not mapped. It also includes a separate total for incomplete addresses. These are generally easy to fix as long as the address information is available to you. The geocoding is usually around 95% accurate, though it does vary depending on whether your service area is urban or rural and what part of the country you're in. Errors most commonly show up when addresses are misspelled, incomplete, contain irrelevant info in the address (e.g., EOW or "across from Menard's"), or list only a PO box. Go through the steps listed here to fix an incorrect location.
