Adding One-Time/On Call Stops to a Route

(from within an open route) right-click Edit > One-Time > Add Stop . . .

What is a one-time route stop?

This is a stop that’s only meant to be picked up one time OR a stop that is on call and not picked up every time the route is run.

Why use one-time route stops?

Routes are generally predictable: a truck leaves the garage and picks up the same customers in the same order one day per week. One-time stops are meant for

  1. Extra pickups for an existing customer, e.g. someone who is picked up every Thursday but calls in for an extra pickup on Monday;
  2. On-call customers who are not picked up every week&emdash;they are meant to call in whenever they need to be picked up; and
  3. Other extra work like delivering or repairing a cart.

How to enter a one-time stop

From within a route right-click, point to Edit > One-Time > Add Stop by . . . and choose name, address, etc. Choose the date the customer should be picked up. When you print route sheets or upload routes to TeleRoute that stop will only appear to the driver on the date you indicated.

What options are available for one-time stops?

Because one-time route stops are sometimes used for on-call customers the stop will remain in the same place on the route. If the customer ever needs another pickup you can right-click and edit the stop. Enter the new date that they need to be picked up.
