Overview

• Haulers can choose to limit what information a user will see in Trash Flow by assigning them to a particular business (or businesses).
• Different entities within Trash Flow can be assigned to a particular business, making it so only users with access to that business can view/change it.
• Even if a user has multiple businesses assigned to them, they will be forced to select a single business to work with when they log in.

Business-Specific Entities

** If any of the below entities are not set to a business, ANY user will be able to view, use, and change them**

• Customers: A customer must be assigned to a business – if adding a new customer it will be added for the business you’re logged in as. A user with access to all businesses can change the assignment later in the Misc tab.
• Routes: Once a route is assigned to a business, it cannot be changed. If a route is assigned to a business, only customers with the same business can be added to it (and you must be logged in for that business to do so).
• Employees: On the dispatch screen you will only be able to view drivers/dispatchers with no business, or employees with the same business as what you’re logged in as.
• Containers: Containers set to a business can only be added to placements for customers of the same business. Because a container’s business must match the customer it’s placed at, containers that are set to a business can only be added to routes of the same business.
• Trucks: Trucks set to a business cannot be assigned to a route or a dispatcher that is assigned to a different business. Similarly, when completing a work order only trucks assigned to the current business (or no business) will appear.

Trash Flow actions when logged in by business

When Login by Business is enabled, some actions in TrashFlow will only work for the business a user is logged in as. However, some actions will be applied for all businesses, regardless of which one a user is logged in for. Users with access to all businesses will sometimes be given an option to select the business.
