You can always find the most recent version of Trash Flow from our website. Enter your database number and click , then click on the next page. If your browser asks whether you want to Run the file or Save it, click . It doesn’t matter in which directory the file is saved as long as you know where to find it.
Open the directory where you saved the file and double-click it to start installation. Click , then click to agree to the terms. In the next window, make sure that the checkmark next to Trash Flow Demonstration Data is unchecked. (The only reason to check that box is if you are installing a demonstration version of Trash Flow.) Click . In the next window you will choose where to install the Trash Flow program. By default, Trash Flow will install in C:\Program Files(x86)\TrashFlow. You should normally leave this choice as is, but if needed you can click the button to choose another directory. Click . In the next window you will choose the working directory where Trash Flow will save backups and a few other miscellameous files. By default this will be a new folder called TrashFlow within your Public Documents folder. You can leave this choice as is or click the button to choose another directory. (IMPORTANT: Note that if this will be a network installation with several computers accessing Trash Flow, it is better to set up the working directory to a shared network folder; doing so makes it easier to share data.) If your Trash Flow working directory is already on the network and you just need to connect to it, simply Browse to that location. Click , wait for the installation to complete, and click .
Once Trash Flow is installed, you’ll need to tell the program where your business data is stored. This will be either in a MariaDB database or as a single SQLite file. See selecting a database for instructions on choosing existing Trash Flow data or creating a database for instructions on creating a new database to store your data.
