What is the Variable Rates view?
The Variable Rates view of the Financial History tab shows a detailed breakdown of every variable-rate charge made on the customer’s account. There are potentially six columns: Date, Amount, Tax, (code) Description, Variable Rates, and Account #/Name.
- Date: Shows the business date of the transaction. This date cannot be changed. If you need to correct the date of a transaction, you must first delete the transaction, then recreate the transaction with the correct charge date.
- Amount: Shows the amount of the transaction.
- Tax: Shows the total amount of any taxes on the transaction.
- (code) Description: Shows the three-character bill code (if applicable) and a description of the transaction.
- Variable Rates: If the entry is for a transaction with a variable rate, this shows the quantity of chosen unit of measure followed by the @ symbol and the rate the customer is being charged per chosen unit of measure.
- Account#Name: This option shows when the account is the master Bill to account and View Sub Accounts is selected and shows the account number and name related to the charge.
