Create an Entered Deposits Report
This topic explains how to create an Entered Deposits Report, a variant of the deposit slip that allows you to generate a report only of payments entered in a given time frame.
Context
This report is designed to print a deposit slip after entering payments. It differs from the Deposit Slip only in letting you give a time range; this allows you to (for instance) enter payments, print a deposit slip to take to the bank, then continue to enter in payments for the rest of the day and print a second deposit slip before going home. If for whatever reason you want to narrow down this to a list of only payments from specific customers use the options listed below.
Create the Report
- Click .
- Choose the date range to be covered by the report in the Start Date and End Date fields.
- (optional) Choose the Start Time and End Time to narrow the report down to only payments entered between those times.
- If desired, use the data filtering options listed below to only include certain customers.
- Click to review and print.
When You're Done
The report lists the amount, customer account number, customer name, and check number for each payment. A summary at the bottom includes the number of checks, total dollar amount of checks entered, a sum of any cash payments, and the final deposit amount.

Further resources
Trash Flow has several ways to get a list of payments recorded for a given day or a range of dates.
- The posting report is the most widely useful report for financial information, giving a detailed list of all charges, payments, and credits.
- The deposit slip lists detailed check payments and a total cash amount; it's meant to be printed out and taken to the bank along with a deposit slip and the money for the day.
- The entered deposit report is almost the same as the deposit slip, but allows the user to specify a time range as well; this is used in situations where payments are recorded and taken to the bank, then more payments are entered later on the same day.
- The payment reconciliation report lets you compare each day's deposits with your bank statement to check for discrepancies.
- The payments summary report gives total dollar amounts of payments by day, week, month, or year.
