How do I delete a transaction?
Note:If a charge is already assigned to an invoice, you must delete the invoice from the customer's history before deleting the charge itself.- Open the customer account and click the History tab.
- Left-click on the transaction you want to delete.
- Choose one of the following methods to delete the selected transaction:
- Click History > Delete.
- Click F5 on your keyboard.
- Right-click the transaction and click Delete.
- A message will appear to confirm the deletion of the selected transaction. Click Yes to delete or No to cancel.
Why would I want to delete a transaction?
- Once a charge or payment is entered on a customer's account, the transaction cannot be edited.
- If the transaction was entered with incorrect information (wrong amount, date, or bill code, for instance) it must be deleted, then re-entered correctly.
How do I know if a transaction was deleted?
You can see the date, amount, and nature of any deleted charge in the customer's Activity History along with the initials of the user who deleted it. If you have any concerns about Trash Flow users deleting charges from customer accounts, we advise calling the number below for assistance.
