Changing the Descriptions of Charges

System > Setup > Standard Charges, click Yes

Trash Flow comes with several standard charges built in to the program. These can be used when making a one-time transaction from the customer information window, although most charges for service will be made using a bill code. If you would like to change the description of a default charge, choose your Business Name. Type the description you would prefer in the field next to Regular, Special Pick Up, Misc., Payment, Credit, Write Off, Finance Charge, Rental, Pick-Up, or Tip Fee. PLEASE NOTE: Changing the description of a charge will not alter how it behaves in Trash Flow. Even if you change Credit to read Late Fee (or Italy, or monkey) it will still behave like a credit on a customer’s account. If you use an accounting link to transfer information from Trash Flow to an account program, enter the account number from that program in the appropriate field. Click OK to finish.
