This topic explains how to run a report showing the amount of money owed to your company.
Before You Begin
You must have one of the billing modules of Trash Flow to run this report.
Context
Your accounts receivable represents the amount of money your customers owe, generally from bills you have sent out but have not yet been paid. In accounting terms it is an asset of your business, much like a trash truck or office building.
Create the Report
- Click Reports > Financial Reports > Receivables > Accounts Receivable Report
- Use the data filters to choose whether you want the report to cover all customers or only a subset.
- Choose whether you want to Show Only Deposits (refundable deposits on file for customers).
- Under Report Format choose whether you want a Printout or an exported CSV file to open in Excel.
- If you choose a printout you may want to choose the option to Sort by Account Number, Customer Name, or Mailing zip.
- Click to preview and print.
When you're finished
This report lists outstanding debits and credits on customer accounts, but does not show how long the balances have been due. The report also prints the total receivable, total credit balances, and net receivable.
For Trash Flow Mobile users: Report options on Trash Flow Mobile will work just as described in this article and appear in the same order. The user interface is slightly different to accommodate how we use tablets and phones; for more details, or to learn more about accessing your data from a phone or tablet, see Using Trash Flow Mobile.
