This topic will explain how to add notes that a driver will see when running a route.
Before You Begin
Any version of Trash Flow that includes routing can make use of route notes.
Context
There are two basic kinds of notes you can use: notes for a particular customer and notes on the route itself. The first is more common and is entered on the Notes Tab of the customer information window. Anything entered under Route Notes will appear (either in the TeleRoute mobile app or on printed route sheets) when the driver picks up that stop. The second is usually instructions to the driver that aren't necessarily associated with a particular customer: head to the transfer station, take Route 104 to avoid construction, break for lunch now, etc.
Add a Route Note on a Customer Account
- Open a customer account, either from the tilebar or by double-clicking their name in a route window.
- Navigate to the Notes tab.
- Type the note desired on the Route Notes sub-tab. (If you need the note only for a limited time you could instead type it on the Tmp. Rte Note sub-tab and enter the date range you want the note to appear.)
- Close the account. You do not have to click a "save" button anywhere; Trash Flow saves changes to the account automatically. The note will appear with the stop information on all routes for this customer.
