Description
Explains how to add a new stop to a regularly run route.
Before You Begin
You must have the routing module of Trash Flow and the route needs to be created before stops can be added.
Context
Once a route is created customers can be added. Adding stops in Trash Flow is fundamentally a manual process: you add customers along the route in the order you want so you can later print route sheets or have the drivers access the route via the TeleRoute mobile app. (Trash Flow's data transfer specialists may be able to transfer your existing routes from programs like Excel; call us at 800-708-8642 for more information.)
Steps to Follow
- From an open route, click on the line directly above where you want to add a new stop.
- Click , , or .
- Start typing the info that you want and select the desired customer from the list.
Alternatively, you can add a customer to a route from the Routes tab of the customer information screen.
- Right-click anywhere within the screen and click .
- When you choose a Route Trash Flow will automatically take you to the Route Placement tab.
- Click your mouse one stop above where you want to place the customer on the route and ; pressing the key will put the customer at that point on the route.
If you also have our Container Tracking module and customers have container placements on their accounts there will be an extra step when adding route stops. You will choose which placements to include on the route; you can also choose to add the customer's placements to the route or none of the placements.
When You're Done
Note that when looking up routes in Trash Flow the line below the route name will include the frequency (weekly, monthly, etc.), service type (waste, cardboard, etc.), and truck type if that information has been set; this is so users can quickly distinguish different route types.
