Descriptions
Fee descriptions are the types of taxes you are required to charge. These descriptions can then be set up with percentages under sales tax districts.

Context
Fee Descriptions are only relevant if you charge tax to your customers—they let you describe what those taxes are so you can set specific rates later on. As of now Trash Flow only supports percentage-based taxes; if you need to charge some kind of tax or environmental fee by the ton or cubic yard that will have to be done differently.
Steps to follow

- Enter the desired fee descriptions. It’s generally a good idea to enter the tax that will affect most or all of your customers in the first box, then more localized fees in lower boxes.
- Click to save your changes.
See below for an example. Note that you are not entering any tax percentages in these fields—just simple descriptions.
When you're done
You will still need to create sales tax districts and assign customers to the correct district(s).
